Software Engineer II — General Motors

Building dependable backend systems teams rely on every day.

I'm Pete — a software engineer drawn to the unglamorous middle of the stack: APIs, data models, and the legacy systems teams reach for every day. At General Motors I build and modernize enterprise Java and .NET systems for manufacturing engineering — and now lead a small team building the next generation.

  • ↳ Backend & APIs
  • ↳ Legacy modernization
  • ↳ Cloud & CI/CD

Building and improving enterprise Java and .NET applications — refactoring legacy systems, optimizing performance, and shipping backend features that manufacturing teams rely on every day.

I care about the boring guarantees: reliability, performance, and code the next engineer can actually read. I've owned modernization efforts end to end — from auth flows and session affinity to a full migration of 10+ services to Red Hat OpenShift — and now lead a small team building the next generation of a key platform. Off the clock, you'll find me at the range, deep in a co-op game, or in good company.
